Robot - part deux

The 2nd robot is finally built! The team all came together to push to get the 2nd robot done so that it could be used on the field this season. A group of teammates came in yesterday (Monday) after school (Curran, JP, Aidan and Beck) and worked with Jessica, a parent volunteer, to organize all the parts and work on robot - part deux. Enough work was done yesterday, that today, at the regular meeting, the building of the robot was completed! The wiring still needs to be completed, but the basic chassis + tower + arm has been put together.

Of course, now that the robot is assembled, the team realized that it will not accomplish the goal that is set for this team's challenge. This just gives us more opportunities to work on engineering! We will be analyzing the arm and its motion and re-engineering these parts over the next few weeks.

Students also started working on the engineering notebook tonight. This record of the team's progress can go a long ways towards earning points for a team.
