December 12th Meet at Redmond Proficiency Academy

The students did a great job at the meet, only forgetting to turn on the robot once!!

Work on the 2nd robot continued. The telescoping arm was initially too big, so plans are in motion to cut down the channels so that the arm fits within the 18"x18"x18" parameters.

During one match we placed the team marker into the depot and were not initially given credit for it. However, the wonderful Arthur went and stood in the question box waiting for someone to talk to him. When the referees came, they acknowledged that they had missed those points and gave them to our team! Go Arthur!

We competed in 5 matches, but ran into trouble in 4 of the matches.

1 - forgot to turn on the robot

2 - Our alliance robot got stuck in the depot (see picture) and turned off, preventing us from putting any medallions into the depot.

3 - For a 2nd time our alliance robot got stuck in the depot.

4 - The controllers glitched out in yet another match.

We decided that we would put a post it note directly onto the phones reminding the drivers to turn the robot on! Hopefully this will help solve that one issue.
